I had no idea we had the Terminator writing Linux software now.
Overheard: "Your code, give them to me."
AGI. Because we'll need that to answer the question: Why Wayland?

They'll be launching mission to the dark side of the moon next, and waking up the Nazis.
Easier if they just walk over to DHS and ask for I.C.E. (these days anyway).
Can you explain how the Democrats broke the law in a way that the supreme Court had to rule against them? Can you point anything out that went even to a state court?
Nope. But this thread was about Justice Clarence Thomas, who's decidedly Republican and "Conservative", so I thought I was commenting on them. Sorry if I was unclear or confusing.
From TFS and TFA:
NASA could launch four astronauts on a mission to fly around the moon as soon as March 6th.
And come back safely. Funny how articles always seem to forget this bit -- noting that JFK specifically *did* say this in his We choose to go to the Moon speech:
I believe that this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal, before this decade is out, of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to the earth.
Trump should be locked up for this illegal use of power.
SCOTUS granted him (technically, the President) absolute immunity for all core official acts and presumptive immunity for all official acts -- and SCOTUS gets to decide what's in that latter category.
Trump can still be impeached by Congress, but we'd end up with JD Vance as President. Vance could be impeached too, but we'd end up with (Speaker of the House) Mike Johnson as President. If Democrats re-take the House and Senate in November 2026, then (presumably) Hakeem Jeffries would be Speaker. There's no way Republicans, who currently control both the House and Senate, would impeach Trump.
He is using his position of power to enrich himself
Here's an example... The Trump Organization is involved in a $1.5bn deal to build hotels, golf courses and luxury real estate in Vietnam, but under their laws the approval process usually takes 3-5 years. Trump threatening 46% tariffs on Vietnam on "Liberation Day". Shortly there after, Vietnam rammed through all the approvals in under 3 months, breaking several of their own laws, and Trump ultimately imposed only 20% tariffs on Vietnam.
- While in tariff negotiations, Trump group gets approval for massive golf resort in Vietnam
- Trump announces trade deal with Vietnam
- Fistful of dollars and rice for Vietnam farmers displaced for $1.5 billion Trump golf club
Those require a lot more legal work and they are all temporary measures. If they were easier then Trump would have started with them.
Not just if they were easier, Trump doesn't like having to justify his actions to anyone else and get their approval -- Checks and Balances be damned.
They already said they had numerous other regulations to keep the tariffs going.
This just strikes down one. One.
Yes, but this route was chosen so that Trump could easily impose tariffs unilaterally on every country for the flimsiest (for lack of a better word) reasons, with the least reviewable justifications and limits, especially time.
Tariffs are usually imposed for a few specific reasons, not because, for example, a foreign leader wasn't polite enough on a phone call -- Trump says he raised Swiss tariffs after leader’s call: ‘I didn’t really like the way she talked’
“So [the tariffs were] at 30 percent, and I didn’t really like the way she talked to us, and so instead of giving her a reduction, I raised it to 39 percent,
Trump is using tariffs simply as a cudgel because he really doesn't know any other way to negotiate, preferring to dictate terms and harassing people until they give up/in -- ask any contractor who's ever done work for him. Google: trump doesn't pay
That's what their followers vote for. Lawlessness.
But only when their party is in charge
"It's my opinion that the court has been swayed by foreign interests and a political movement that is far smaller than people would ever think," Trump said.
Someone swayed by foreign interests and a smaller than actual political movement you say?
The Constitution grants Congress the power to tax, not the President. Congress has authorized the President to do some of that unilaterally under very specific circumstances. You stretched the definitions to meet your agendas and SCOTUS said what you did / the way you did it was improper. Your political party controls the White House and both houses of Congress (House and Senate) and you have almost a complete strangle-hold on your party. Either get Congress to grant you new/different authorities or get Congress to implement these tariffs (taxes) directly. Remembering that what you do for yourself now will probably extend into the next, probably Democrat-controlled at this rate, Administration (2029) and Congress (2027). Sorry The Law doesn't conform to your kingly whims, but that's how it is - and should be.
Whether it be the Epstein files, JFK, or aliens, very little of the news we hear these days is actually about governing the country.
Ya, but Trump, his family and friends are making a LOT of money off this gig

At least they identified the decision-making problems before another Challenger incident.
As they said, "shortcomings that nearly left astronauts unable to safely return", it would probably be more akin to Columbia than Challenger. Just sayin'
